“Smile 2” is a horror/mystery film directed by Parker Finn and starring Naomi Scott. The plot of this film is about pop music star Skye Riley going to go on a world tour. Still, she begins to experience inexplicable horrifying things so she must face her past to get a hold of her life and mind before it runs wild and gets out of hand.
Throughout the movie, you can see how great of a job Scott does with all her facial changes, and body language and how she makes her dialogue sound with each situation she is facing. This film explores and shows the deep impact of trauma and how it is best to reach out for help when you are dealing with mental health issues.
“Smile 2” is a movie that horror buffs should make time to watch. It was a phenomenal movie to me, especially how Scott switched up her character to go from 0 to 100% flawlessly. As someone who gets scared easily, the eerie feeling of this film brought me to tears, but in a good way. It has been a long while since a movie brought me to tears.
The songs match the movie perfectly and they also sound really good. One song that the character sings is “New Brain,” and I ended up shazaming the song because I liked it. If you haven’t made time to see this movie, mark your calendar and be ready for a frightful time.
