With spring break here, here are some fun activities to consider!
If you’re looking to spend time with family and siblings, check out Kalahari Water Park. This indoor water park features numerous slides, an arcade, live shows, and a restaurant. Many people enjoy visiting for a full day of fun.
For those who prefer swimming and outdoor activities, some of the most popular spots in Austin include Zilker Park, Barton Springs Pool, McKinney Falls State Park, and Deep Eddy Municipal Pool.
If swimming isn’t your thing and you’d rather go hiking, Austin has plenty of trails to explore. Some great options include River Place Nature Trail, Turkey Creek Trailhead, Mayfield Park and Nature Preserve, and Blunn Creek Nature Preserve.
McKinney Falls State Park and Pedernales Falls State Park offer even more outdoor fun. McKinney Falls, located closer to the city, is perfect for swimming, hiking, biking, fishing, and camping. Pedernales Falls, a bit farther away, offers additional activities like horseback riding, tubing, and birdwatching.
If none of these options spark your interest, consider visiting a zoo! There are traditional zoos as well as drive-through safari parks where you can see animals from your car. Visiting the zoo can be a great experience, especially for younger children who enjoy seeing the animals up close.
No matter what you choose, there are plenty of ways to make the most of your spring break in Austin!
