SEGUIN, TX — Two people have been arrested in Seguin after police say a woman told them she was kidnapped from the Katy area and sexually assaulted. Officers responded just before 1 a.m. Wednesday to a welfare concern call and found a 26-year-old woman screaming for help at a nearby home. Police said the woman made the kidnapping and assault allegation after officers reached her. Brian Smith, 26, and Haiyan Lee, 25, both from the Katy area, were later located and charged.

The Seguin Police Department said the call came in at 12:47 a.m. Wednesday. When officers arrived, they were able to find the woman at a home near the scene after hearing her screams for help. According to police, she was safe enough to speak with investigators at that point and gave them her account of what had happened.
